Most things about you are affected by both your genes and your environment. You might inherit white skin, but if you live somewhere sunny you could get a tan. You might inherit a tendency to be musical, but you'll need lessons and plenty of practice before you can play an instrument well. You could inherit genes for being tall, but without a good diet while you are growing you won't achieve your potential height. Even identical twins grow up to be different individuals. Genes and environment work together to make you who you are. The important thing to understand is that everybody is different, and people who don't follow the usual pattern of development should be tolerated, accepted and respected. It really is normal to be different!
